De-hydrated meal worms can be given to an African pygmy hedgehogs as treats in small portions. These worms should not be given as their main diet. A few should be given as a treat along with their regular food, because they are dry they may cause constipation if you feed your hog too many. Always allow your hedgehog a chance to drink some water after giving them dry meal worms.

Dry meal worms are not recommended for garden hedgehogs as they are not on a balanced diet.
