Coconut oil helps bolster the skin's protective barrier layer, trapping moisture inside and keeping skin hydrated. Coconut oil also has anti-inflammatory properties, making it beneficial for irritated, chafed skin.
The coconut oil will solidify in cooler weather, place the bottle in hot water until the coconut oil melts. You can add drops to the water of their bath making sure to scoop water over them.
If your hog has really dry and cracked ears putting coconut oil on will make a big difference. Place some on your finger tips and rub their ears (front and back). If you have a huffy hog that won't let you near their hears, you can try my trick. Rub some coconut oil on the 'fleshy' part of the heal of your palm (just below your thumbs) and try get your hogs face to pass trough your hands brushing there area where the coconut oil is against the side of their face/ears.
